Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? (James 3:10-11)
Our main verse is an admonition for every Christian. Your words have immense power, and what you speak is of utmost importance.
When you respond to the people of this world, you must never be motivated by your senses. You are a Spirit being don’t live your life to the limits of your natural senses. The words that come out of your lips, for others should be words of love, blessings, faith and grace. You should never respond to the people of this world in their language of hate and curse. Remember, you are love child of a love God.
If someone accuses you falsely, for example, don’t get upset and try to justify your innocence to the point of acting and speaking in a manner that’s unbecoming for a Christian. Leave it to the Lord; He’s the righteous Judge and will surely vindicate you. Just keep loving; and speaking blessings. Bible says in Luke 6:38 NLT: “Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.”
Prayer:
Precious Father, thank you for making me a blessing to my world. I consciously speak words of love, faith and grace to people in my world. Thank you for making me the dispenser of your goodness, in Jesus Name. Amen.
