For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little (Isaiah 28:10)
Many believers follow different Bible reading plans, which helps them go through the entire Bible in one year or two year, which is a good concept. However, many of them believe that reading the Bible completely, once in the lifetime is all they need to call themselves a person learned in scripture, which is an absolutely erroneous idea.
Every time you study scriptures you get to learn something new, you get a deeper revelation from the same scriptures you might have studied before, that’s the beauty of God’s Word. The scriptures keep on unveiling the light in them one after the other, the deeper you go in the Word, the more light you get. That is why it is very important to not be satisfied with studying the Bible just once, you have to study it again and again.
In studying the Word again and again secrets of a successful Christian life is unveiled; you see the possibilities of God and your vast and limitless potentials in Him. Ephesians 1:17 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” The more you study the scriptures, the more you know Him and yourself in Him. Thus, never get tired of studying the scriptures. My prayer for you is Colossians 3:16; “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Confession:
I study the scriptures again and again with all diligence. I give myself wholly to God’s Word which is able to build me and give me my inheritance in Christ. Therefore, I have insight into mysteries and secrets; nothing that I can’t know, because Christ has been made unto me wisdom. Hallelujah!
