Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith is the currency of the kingdom of God. Every believer in Christ has been given faith (ref. Romans 12:3), and as we study the Word of God, we increase in our faith. The Word of God is the only material, to build faith.
Our faith matters to God. Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6; “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Faith is not a response of the brain or the mind; it’s not some kind of magic or a formula, no! Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. When you pray or declare in faith, you will always have answers, because faith always works; if it didn’t work it was never faith.
It’s your responsibility to increase the measure of faith God has given to you, and the way to do that is by learning more of God’s Word: “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). The less of God’s Word you receive into your spirit, the less faith you’ll be able to express when you’re faced with the challenges of life. So, every day, grow your faith by feeding voraciously on God’s Word, because your faith matters!
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank you for giving me faith and for the gift of your Word which causes me to increase in faith. My faith is alive and increasing today, as I receive the Word of God into my spirit. Amen.
