The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)
One of the last instructions of Master Jesus, before He ascended, was to win souls. He said: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Soul winning is very important to God and it should matter to you.
You are not an authentic Christian, if you are not involved in soul winning. You can’t claim to love Jesus and follow Him, but not talk about Him to the people in your world. The Lord is always reaching out to the unsaved, to touch their lives with His power and glory; but He can only do so through you.
Soul winners are precious and influential people in the sight of God. As a child of God nothing should mean more to you than leading those in your world who have not yet known the Lord into salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” God has committed to you the ministry of reconciliation; not only did He call you into the fellowship of His Son Jesus (ref. 1 Corinthians 1:9), He’s also called you to partner with Him in soul winning. Make soul winning an important part of your life. Let it matter to you because it matters to your Heavenly Father!
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for committing unto me the ministry of reconciliation. I’m serious towards soul winning. I see beyond any obstruction and engage in every activity to fulfill my responsibility of winning souls for the kingdom, in Jesus Precious Name. Amen!
