Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)
In our main verses, Apostle Paul explains us the real essence of Church, and that Jesus is the head of the Church. A true believer, knowing this truth will always be committed to Church.
Being committed to your Church means you are faithfully involved in Church. You are not only present, but serving God and other brethren of the Church, and living a life that is centered around the church.
Every Christian must be committed to their local Church, where God has joint them. Any Christian who is not committed to a church, but keeps going to different churches, is an indisciplined wanderer. Such a person never matures and grows in faith. Such people never see the mighty works of God in their lives.
Even worse are those who think they can serve God without being part of a local Church fellowship. The notion that one can serve God without being a part of a church community is a deceptive ploy aimed at pulling Christians away from the security and support systems established by God for families. It’s a deception created by Devil.
Your Church is your spiritual family, where you are nurtured and guided in your walk of faith. The corporate anointing causes the miraculous to surround you and bring protection. Never forsake Church assembly and be committed to your Church.
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank you for teaching me the importance of commitment to Church. I recognise the Church as the pillar and ground of truth. I’m actively involved in my Church and every activity there in. I’m edified, instructed, built up and nurtured unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, in Jesus precious Name. Amen.
