Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art
also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).
Your faith is the victory that overcomes the world and its failures, corruption, darkness, wickedness and decadence. In our main verse Apostle Paul talks about fighting, “a good fight of faith”. What was he trying to say? He wanted to convey to Timothy and to us that; no matter what happens in your life, in the world, or around you; refuse to be broken, disillusioned or overwhelmed; use your faith!
In 2 Timothy 4:7, Apostle Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” The fight he refers to here is again the same: good fight of faith.
As a Christian each of us our called to fight the good fight of faith; knowing that it’s not over until we are on the winnings side. When you fight a good fight of faith, you don’t allow any factor or force to put you down until to achieve your desired target. You never consider a challenge big enough for you to surmount; no trouble is too much for you to overcome. With the shield of faith, you’re invincible: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” (Ephesians 6:16).
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for stirring faith in me through the knowledge of your Word. I refuse to give up, I refuse to bow down to any situation. I live being assured of my victory in Christ Jesus. Amen
