That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18)

When Job was suffering and devil was trying him, he questioned God under the influence of his friends counsel. What is interesting to note is that God never replied to his question but only told Job who He was. If you study through Job 38-42, you will find God was telling Job how He created the whole world, and all that there is in it and how He runs it all. After Job’s encounter with God, we see that Job receives back manifold of what he lost. The knowledge of God is all it takes for anyone to come out of any precarious situation.

The more you know God, the more faith you have, because faith comes through the knowledge of His Word. Fear is eliminated from your life, and thus, devil gets no entry point in your life. Remember Job said, ” “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” ( Job 3:25). Fear gives entry point to devil, fear is negative faith. But, if you know who your Heavenly Father is, you will never fear.

You may think you love God, but you can never fully live and bask in His love until you know Him. It’s in the knowledge of Him, that grace, love and liberty to serve Him and to live with Him and for Him, abides.

There are many who pray in the Name of Jesus, but their prayers are not effective, it’s because they don’t know Him enough, they don’t understand the Lordship of Jesus. They don’t know the power of His name. Just like those Jewish exorcist who used Jesus Name on evil spirit, without knowing Jesus and the evil spirit responded back: “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded(Acts 19: 15-16). What a tragedy.

As a child of God its important that your life should not be a tale of suffering but of victory. Spend time to know Him, and know Him more and more, there is no end to knowing Him. He is alpha and omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. (Revelation 22:13).

Prayer:
Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love. Father, I want to know you more, reveal yourself to me, that I may know and live in the plan and purpose you have designed and designated for me in Christ Jesus that I may bring glory to your name forever, in Jesus Name. Amen!
