Be ye, therefore, followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
As children of God, it’s very important that you don’t have anyone whom you dislike. That is against the nature of God, and being His children, you are as He is (1 John 4:17).
When you dislike a person, you put yourself below that person. If you started disliking him or her when he was below you in stature, you will never grow until that person gets ahead of you. And, if you dislike someone who is already way ahead of you, you will never be able to surpass him or her, until you stop disliking the person and start liking the person.
When God sees you disliking someone, he promotes them, so that you learn to become humble. The more you dislike and talk against them, the more they grow. That’s the reason I don’t mind those people who dislike me because they have only aided to my promotion. But, in turn, I don’t dislike anyone.
God has made man in His own image, that’s the primary reason you should not dislike anyone, how can you dislike the image of God. Let every seed of hatred against anyone in your heart be washed off. Renew your mind through the Word of God and see everyone with the eyes of God.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for replacing my stony heart with the heart of Christ. I love like God. There is no one I dislike in this world. I see everyone with the eyes of God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
