Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
People in today’s world are so involved in managing their today that they are completely oblivious of the future generation- the children. The children are the future leaders, they are the tomorrow. If we don’t care to train them now, we are preparing for a disastrous future both for them and for the world. It matters what we teach them and how we raise them. Just like a tree is the result of a seed sown in the ground, an adult is the result of the teachings and the trainings given in the childhood.
According to the Bible, children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). God expects them to be raised in the right way (Proverbs 22:6). Whether they are your biological children or not, every child is your responsibility.
It’s important for us to give special attention to children – especially the destitute children in our cities, street corners, squatter camps, slums, ghettos etc. These ones live in squalor, abject poverty, negligence and despair. But we can bring them hope. In our ministry, Ambassadors of Zion, we have been a ray of hope for such children, through various ministry projects.
Remember, children are the future and we are responsible for the future since we are responsible to make this world a better place. Think beyond, think high. It’s your responsibility to put things in place and set things right to safeguard the future of our children. Remember, every child is your child.
Prayer:
Dear Father, thankyou for giving me this beautiful knowledge through your Word today. I consider every child as my child and I make every effort to set things right to safeguard the future of the children in my world today. Thank you Father for making me your responsible son, in Jesus Name. Amen!
