For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son. (Romans 1:9a )
When we serve God, we serve Him with all our heart, mind, body, strength, and abilities; however, all of this must be done through the Spirit. We must have a spiritual approach, and all our physical efforts must be spiritually aligned.
Are you traveling somewhere to preach the gospel? Or are you forwarding messages on social media? Or are you visiting someone to preach the gospel? Your groundwork must be prayer. Prayer is not just presenting your demands to God; He is already convinced about His good plans for you. So, what do you do in prayer? It is your fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Prayer is the time when you express your intense desires to Him and seek His guidance and direction. It is the place where you receive strategies from the Holy Spirit. His grace and power are directed toward situations and circumstances. A spiritual atmosphere is produced, and angels are dispatched to help you. This is a spiritual work, not just physical labor.
All your physical efforts are an addition to complete your faith. The Bible shows that faith without works is dead, and work, in itself, is also dead if there is no faith. They must work together—faith and works.
Faith is a spiritual element.
Remember, our life on earth is all about this. This is the reason why you exist on earth, and it is the very thing you will take with you when you leave the earth.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for training me in righteousness. As I give myself to You, I spend quality time with Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for guiding me and making me more skillful spiritually. I thank You that the right hunger is being developed in me as I yield to Your will. I thank You for using me and choosing me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
