Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8)

We studied yesterday about the power of choice. That should explain to you that our lives are not controlled by God. Otherwise, He would have just ‘pressed the buttons’ and everything He wanted for your life would just happen. He’s Almighty God! He’s got the power; but He doesn’t function that way. He gave man a gift, the gift of choice – the power of choice. Yours is to choose to do right.

Deutronomy 30:19 says:”…..I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” That’s how God functions, He gives you all the information you require to make the best choices. He tells you the best choice to make but never forces you to make it. He has given you the power to choose, and He doesn’t usurp it or take it away from you.

That’s why it becomes very important that you choose right, you choose according to the way and guidance of the Spirit. Look at our main verse again. It’s a warning because one day, judgment will be made. He has given man the power to choose. Man would have to be judged for the choices man makes. One day, God would have to show what was right and what was wrong; He’d show every man whether or not they made the right choices and decisions. You’re accountable to God.

Thus, it’s important you live every day, yielding yourself to the Spirit of God, with your roots deep in the Word, so that you make the right choices. With Christ consciousness in you, you will always make the right choices. If you live your life in Christ with the consciousness of His salvation, living in the Spirit through the Word, you’ll not be judged. The only judgment you’ll face would be for your reward. Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the spiritual wisdom to choose right. I’m guided by the Holy Spirit, being rooted in your Word. My life is full of God’s effulgence and glory as I make the right choices each time without any hesitation or fear. I have the Spirit of boldness and power in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
