The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple (Psalm 119:130)
Some people think if they have a Bible, then they have the Word with them, and that’s all they require. Some even sleep keeping the Bible under their pillow, as though everything that’s written in it will automatically get downloaded into their brain. Their laziness to study the Word has got them into this life of illusion.
God doesn’t want you to live in illusion, He wants you to live in the illumination of His Word. God’s Word is the true light (John 1:9) that reveals the truth regarding all things. It reveals who you really are, what you can do, and your inheritance in Christ. When you allow the Word to illuminate your spirit, negative circumstances around you are dispelled, while God’s glory and abundant provisions become real to you.
Our main scripture doesn’t only say, “God’s Word gives light”; rather, “the entrance” of God’s Word gives light. So it’s not enough to have the Word in the pages of the Bible. It has to gain entrance into your spirit. When it enters your spirit, you receive light and understanding! Suddenly, you begin to see things the way God sees them, and you begin to see the glory in your life. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Dear Father, the entrance of your Word gives me light, I thank you for your Word. I commit myself to your Word, which is able to build me. I study the Word and make it evident in my life by living the Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
