The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. (Psalm 37:31)

There are certain roots which store food for plant’s future growth. They continuously bank food and nutrition in them. They are dependable in season and dependable in times of adversity, too, because they are prepared to supply for plants’ growth at all time. Are your roots dependable? Have you stored enough of the Word of God in yourself, which is your food for faith?

It’s important that you build a reservoir of the Word of God in yourself. It’s important that you fellowship with God, and receive ideas and instructions from Him, which will make you stand on the day of adversity. The psalmist says in Psalms 119:11 that: “I have stored up your word in myheart, that I might not sin against you (ESV).”

Your roots need to be dependable and you are responsible to make it so. Meditate on God’s Word, spend time with the Spirit of God in fellowship and act on your faith. I pray that God’s Spirit guides you and makes you an able minister of His Gospel as you make your roots dependable in and through Him.

Prayer:

Dear Father, I thank you for the glory of your Word and the transformation I experience even now as your Word takes root in my spirit, producing in me fruits of righteousness. I make my roots dependable. I stand strong in the Lord all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
