Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)
The resurrection of Jesus Christ gave us eternal life. When Adam sinned against God, all men died. In Romans 5:12, the Bible says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Sin brought death. That’s how death came to be in everything; it’s in all of nature. But, when Jesus defeated death and rose again, eternal life became available for us.
1 John 5:11 Bible says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” You have eternal life now, you’ve passed from death to life. While death works in the world, life works in you and everything that’s connected to you.
Eternal life is the God-life; it’s incorruptible. It can’t perish, or be defiled, or corrupted by sickness, disease, failure, death or the devil. It’s the divine life. Eternal life is your reality, Jesus got it for you through His resurrection. Lay hold on it!!
Prayer:
Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for your great love, thank you for making eternal life available for me through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I have taken hold of eternal life therefore it doesn’t matter what happens in this world I’m not moved. My life is beyond the frame of time and this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
