Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. (Proverbs 23:23)
God is the best person to teach us how to be successful in life. The wisdom of God is, at times, foolishness to the people of the world. It is beyond man’s reasoning and always works supernaturally. The above scripture is a very powerful success principle. Truth, wisdom, instructions, and understanding are some of the most vital things a person needs to be successful in life. God teaches us to buy them. Buy means to make it yours by paying a cost. Further, he teaches us not to sell. Selling means to let it go in exchange for something else. Don’t let truth, wisdom, instructions, and understanding go away in exchange for temporary gains. Rather, buy the truth. Learn sowing on God’s word. There were many times I personally gave to God a special offering in worship soon after he gave a divine revelation from the word of God. When we do so, with our precious offerings, we honor the wisdom, and we make it our own.
There are times when you are inspired to do great, however that inspiration leaves, it’s because you didn’t buy it. Next time don’t forget to buy the truth.
In Deuteronomy 16:16 and Exodus 23:15, God told the children of Israel to never appear in the presence of God empty-handed. God wanted them to receive and retain the blessings which He was about to give to them. It is such a joyful feeling to come to the Lord with our precious offerings.
Confession:
I am blessed and rightly focused. I buy the truth and don’t leave it for foolishness. As I buy the truth today, I establish myself on the wisdom and godly understanding. My life is founded on the rock and no storm of life can ever overwhelm me. Hallelujah
