My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Hearing the voice of God is not a mysterious or rare experience—it is the birthright of every believer who walks in relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ. The Lord is always speaking, whether through His Word, prayer, the Holy Spirit, or through His appointed servants. The key is keeping your spirit open and trained to listen.

Not hearing the voice of God can be very costly. Just imagine the difference it makes when the Creator of the universe personally guides every step of yours—you will never walk in darkness or confusion. You don’t have to learn everything through failure; rather, you can live as a shining example of God’s glory, wisdom, and direction.

In the end, it all comes down to your attention—how attentive you are to Him. His voice is always present, but are you listening? The time you have on this earth is limited. Choose to make the most of it by giving your attention to His voice and living in step with His guidance. There is no greater advantage in life than walking hand in hand with the voice of your Heavenly Father.
