Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
(1 Timothy 4:15)

Many have not seen the Word of God produce results in their lives because they have missed the instruction given in our main verse. The instruction is to give ourselves “wholly” to the Word. The ESV translation says: “Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.” I love that — it says “immerse yourself in them.”

As a child of God, it’s important that our growth and progress are evident for everyone to see. The only way to make that happen is to give ourselves wholly to the Word of God. That’s the only recipe for good success. Joshua 1:8 says: “Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Make the image of your glorious future in God’s plan clear for yourself and continually meditate on the Word of God according to it. Soon enough, that image will become your present-hour reality, such that everyone will see your progress and give glory and praise to our Father in heaven (ref. Matthew 5:16)

Prayer

Precious Father, I immerse myself in Your infallible Word. I build my life on the foundation of Your Word and therefore I stand and never fall, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
