Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months (James 5:17).

There are moments when you are inspired by the Word of God—perhaps in church, while studying the Secret of Success, or even when watching a message online. Those moments give you a fresh spark of inspiration and motivation. Yet, as important as they are, they were never meant to be the permanent driving force of your life.

As a child of God, you were not designed to live under the influence of temporary motivation but under the power of the Spirit of Lordship. That means you have been given authority and dominion, even to the point of exercising discipline over yourself and your atmosphere.

The scripture tells us that Elias was “a man subject to like passions as we are.” In other words, he too faced shifting emotions, trials, temptations, and discouraging atmospheres. Yet, what made the difference was this—he prayed earnestly. Prayer changed his atmosphere and shifted the circumstances of an entire nation.

In the same way, the gift of praying in tongues has been given to you as a supernatural key. No matter the pressure, no matter the heaviness, no matter the distraction—go pray in tongues. As you do, your atmosphere will shift. Worry turns into peace, confusion gives way to clarity, and weakness is replaced with divine strength.

Don’t remain bound by what surrounds you—change it. Use the gift of tongues and create the atmosphere of victory and dominion that God has ordained for your life.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for the supernatural gift of praying in tongues. I choose to rise above every pressure, fear, or heaviness, and I stir up myself in the Spirit. As I pray in tongues, my atmosphere is changed, clarity comes, and I walk in the authority of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
