Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV)
As we approach the end of the year, it is important to intentionally remind ourselves of the things God has spoken to us and brought to the attention of our spirit throughout the year. Many times, God has already given direction, instruction, and answers, but we move forward without revisiting them. This season is a divine opportunity to reflect, realign, and strengthen ourselves through His Word.
The Word of God is never outdated; it never becomes obsolete. God’s instructions and the guidance of His Spirit are timeless. They are the only elements that truly strengthen our inner man and prepare us for sustained growth and victory. When everything else changes, the Word remains constant, reliable, and powerful.
Therefore, in these closing days of the year, return to your church notes from throughout the year and study them again. Revisit the words of direction God gave you during times of prayer. Recall the prophecies spoken during special prayer gatherings and reaffirm them in faith. Meditate again on the instructions received from your Pastor. As you do this, your spiritual insight will be sharpened, and you will be fully prepared to step into a new year marked by excellence, productivity, and impact.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank You for Your great love and for the gift of Your Word. Thank You for making me an approved workman, thoroughly equipped through truth. I study Your Word diligently, I receive clarity and strength, and I impact my world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I move forward prepared, confident, and fruitful, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
