Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalms 103:1–5)
As the curtain of this year falls and we prepare to begin a new year, it is time for us to reflect on the year with a grateful heart.
This year, you have increased in knowledge, in stature, and in grace. You have become more prosperous and have magnified your impact. It is something to shout about; it is something to thank the Lord for.
Begin the new year with a grateful heart. Erase all wrong thoughts, wrong perceptions, fears, and malice. Remember what the Lord has done for you. Commit to follow Him like never before.
As we continue our year-end fasting, take out special time today to thank God specifically for each and every landmark you achieved this year. That is what the Word of God teaches us to do: “I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”
(Psalms 9:1–2)
Praise:
Precious Father, You are so gracious, kind, and merciful! Mighty are Your works; Your Name is exalted forever and ever! I praise Your holiness, and I glorify Your majesty. There is none besides You, Lord. Thank You for making me Your very own.
