And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

The world today is consciously eliminating Jesus Christ from Christmas. As beautiful as the decorations, charms, glitter that surround this season may look to our eyes, we must never forget Christmas isn’t about them but Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christmas is a season to reflect on the special kind of life that Jesus came to give us. Colossians 1:27 says; “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”. This shows us God’s plan: Christ in you, the hope of glory. Jesus came, died and resurrected to give you this life; which is supernatural and full of glory. Christmas is a time to acknowledge it and thank God for it.

Christ Jesus, the Word, became flesh (John 1:14); the Word was born to live in you; now He abides in you forever through the Holy Spirit. If Christ doesn’t live in you, then you can’t understand Christmas. Christ literally lives in you; He has taken up His abode in the quarters of your heart —your spirit. This knowledge should make you live triumphantly every minute, and every second of the day.

Celebrate Jesus in your life today. He is what Christmas is all about.

Prayer:
Precious Father, thank you for Christmas. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ for me. I live my life celebrating the purpose of Christmas and bringing others in the light of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen!
