God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. (Romans 3:4)
Our fellowship with God helps us recognize Him more deeply. God is building you up each day and in this new year, one of the things God wants to establish in your life is how you recognize Him.
Your fellowship with the Holy Spirit helps you know Him more and more each day. For a child, they may recognize God as just their Father—a faithful Father who will answer every prayer. However, as you begin to grow in the Lord, you discover that He is much more than just a loving Father; He is the Truth.
In the journey of maturity, believers often find themselves in conflicting situations—situations where they want to do something, but in the Spirit, they know that God doesn’t want them to do it. Many times, there’s a wrestling between God’s will and your personal desires. Today, the Spirit of God is telling you something that will help you in such situations.
Our main verse for today, reveals a very important fact: God is truth, and everything else is a lie. I believe God will help you today in such a way that this reality will dawn on you. It’s a revelation that will be enlightened in your spirit, giving you the strength and power to make the right decisions.
When this revelation dawns on you—that God is the Truth—you are no longer wrestling with a father like a child; rather, you understand that He is the Truth, and any other thing, any other way, is just a lie or loss.
I encourage you to meditate on this revelation. Spend some time thinking about it and let it soak deep into your spirit—that God is the Truth. Not only is He loving, caring, and wanting the best for you, but He is also the Truth.
Let this reality become a weapon in your hand to help you make the right decisions. His will is your right decision—the perfect will of God.
In the coming days, as you learn more about what He wants to do in this new year, open your heart and get excited to do everything He has planned for you. Let your life be such that when people see you, they will be amazed and say, “Only God could have made this possible.”
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are a loving Father and that You want my best. I thank You that You have wonderful plans for me, and that You love me the most. You want my good more than I may even want it. I thank You that You are the Truth. I recognize You today as the Truth, the only Way, and the Life, and I yield myself fully to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
