The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets. (Proverbs 22:13)

The worst habit a person can have is the habit of making excuses. Excuses have the power to kill all possibilities and strip away any hope. They are like death—a full stop to life. Those who make excuses, whether in small or big matters, may not realize the consequences they are setting themselves up for. It’s dangerous. Excuses are the greatest enemy that can destroy your divine calling.

The Bible tells us that with God, anything is possible. It’s time to truly believe this and accept that it’s real. If anything is possible with God, and if you are a child of God, then you have no reason to make excuses.

Life without excuses is a great life—a life of dignity. People can trust you when you don’t make excuses. Not only people, but God also trusts you with greater power when you live a life free of excuses.

You are the best person to check yourself. People often get offended when others correct them and become defensive. But when you understand that correction is for your good, you can be the first to correct yourself. The first step is to identify the excuses you’ve made in the past. Open yourself to God, ask Him, and allow Him to help you recognize the areas where you need to improve and stop making excuses.

Spending time with the Spirit on this subject is crucial, and it’s something you need to do regularly. Train yourself in righteousness, knowing that God is your Father, you are a child of the King, and God has entrusted this earth into your hands.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me and training me in righteousness. I refuse to allow myself to make excuses for doing what is right. I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit working in me. I choose to live a life without excuses, and as I do, You are taking me higher and higher. Thank You for planning a great life for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
