Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase (Proverbs 3:9)
Today marks the firstfruit service for the year 2025. This day holds great significance in God’s calendar, and it only comes once a year. On this special occasion, the Spirit of God grants us the opportunity to demonstrate our faith through the act of sacrifice.
Sacrifice is a powerful demonstration of commitment. It is an act that communicates to the Holy Spirit how deeply we believe in His power and ways. It shows how much we desire Him to take control of our lives and defines the boundaries of His involvement in them. God will never intervene in your life more than you allow Him to. It’s not up to Him, but upto you.
It’s not enough to simply ask Him to take full control; it’s about how deeply you believe in His ways. The way you demonstrate your faith through your actions determines how much He is going to be involved in your life.
Today’s title refers to the firstfruit service as a well of power. A well is a source from which we can draw as much as we desire. It doesn’t dry up; it continues to give as long as the one drawing from it keeps seeking.
When we say the Firstfruit service is a well of power, we mean that it’s an opportunity to draw limitless power. Before facing the challenges of the world, it’s crucial to be empowered from within. And that empowerment happens in the house of God. How much do you want the Holy Spirit to back you when you face the world? Do you realize you’ve been called to take over the world? To do so, you need Him to lift you up. And that’s what will happen today. This is the time to demonstrate your faith in His ways. Bring your firstfruits to the house of God, pure and without corruption. Calculate it carefully and give it with sincerity. Let your actions show that you are serious about Him.
From the very beginning of the Bible, we see God demanding firstfruits from Cain and Abel. He rewards Abel for his offering but rejects Cain’s.
Don’t miss this opportunity to demonstrate your faith. Don’t give your firstfruit based on your financial status; give it according to your faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for teaching me Your principles. I want to give You more opportunities in my life and submit myself fully to You. As I bring my firstfruits today, I demonstrate my faith and show that You are the first and most important in my life. I thank You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
