For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named (Ephesians 3:14-15)
While praying there are different postures which have specific significance and importance in our prayer and it’s impact. Kneeling down while praying is one such important posture of prayer. When we kneel down and pray, it shows the seriousness which, the matter or subject of prayer, holds for us.
When you want to pray on your knees, it’s important that you’re specific and clear as to the things you want to pray about. In Ephesians 3:14-15, Paul said, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…” ; and he clearly enumerated the things he wanted to pray about. He said he bows his knees and prays so that God: “…would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19)
He was very clear and specific; and that’s exactly what you need to be as you kneel down and pray. You must spend time with the Lord at your knees when you are praying. It’s not like you get tired and you get up, no! You must continue until the body stops to distract you, until you are certain that the objective is achieved. Don’t keep looking at the clock when you pray like that, you must create an atmosphere of miracle at your knees. That’s what makes great things happen.
Next time you pray on your knees, you must give yourself wholly to it. Turn off your devices and put out the clock and pray until you have a note or victory in your Spirit.
Prayer:
Precious Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer. As I kneel down before you I refuse to be distracted or moved by elements of the world. I’m specific and determined to make power available to bring dynamic changes through prayer. Thank you for answering my prayers always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
