And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(John 8:32 )
Every day, we are exposed to a vast amount of information and knowledge— some of it is beneficial, while much of it is unnecessary. Just because something is true does not mean it is useful or that we need to know it.
The world is overflowing with knowledge, skills, and information, but not everything adds value to our spiritual journey. As believers, we must learn to filter what we consume, focusing on what aligns with God’s wisdom and helps us grow in faith.
Today’s main verse says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” (John 8:32). The power of truth lies in its ability to bring freedom. Notice that the verse does not say that after knowing the truth, you will set yourself free. Instead, it declares that the truth itself will set you free. When we receive and embrace God’s truth, it works within us, breaking chains, renewing our minds, and leading us into the liberty found in Christ. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing me with Your divine Word. I am grateful that You have given it to me so that I may receive its revelation as Your child. As I embrace Your truth today, I open my heart to receive more and more each day. Thank You for the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who reveals Your Word to me. I love You, Lord, and I desire to know You more and more each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
