And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever (John 14:16 amp)
There’re times when we don’t have enough details or information about a situation we want to pray about. Sometimes, we may even know the details, but don’t know the right words to use in prayer. At such times, you have nothing to despair, you can trust the Holy Spirit to help you pray rightly and effectively! However, He doesn’t do this in spite of you. His intercessory ministry for you is through you; He doesn’t pray for you by Himself! He has to do it through you or through some other believer.
The Word says the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).
The Holy Spirit carries out His intercessory ministry on your behalf with intense, wordless groaning; deep sighs that can’t be expressed in articulate speech. It’s not praying in tongues or in words, there’re no words uttered; all you have are groanings, deep sighs, sobs and moans. Through this intercessory ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Lord guides and keeps guiding many of His children away from misadventures, mistakes, mishaps and troubles! Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for blessing me with the Holy Spirit. I’m divinely protected and covered by the intercessory ministry of the Holy Spirit. I live my life with confidence as I have the Holy Spirit in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
