Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me (John 15:4)

Roots determine the strength and nourishment of a tree. The depth of roots determine the capacity of the tree to stand in the face of adversity and calamity. We all have roots. The question is where are our roots. As God’s beloved people our roots must be in Jesus Christ alone.

In our main verse Jesus said unless we abide in Him, we cannot bear fruits. Thus, it’s important that you check on yourself, whether your roots are in the right place or not, whether you are rooted in Christ or not.

To be rooted in Christ is to be rooted in the truth. To be rooted in Christ is to be rooted in your identity to the point that nothing moves you. Those who are rooted never fall for the lies of the enemy. Choose therefore to have your roots in Christ alone, not in this world. In the coming days you will be learning more about it.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for making me abide in Christ alone. I declare that the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage. Health is mine! Strength is mine. Thank you for helping me discover myself in your Word, and live the victorious life in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
