But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13:8-9)

Different plants and trees need different kinds of ground to grow and be fruitful. The ground or soil needs to be fertile for a seed to reach complete maturity, thereby resulting in a fruitful and productive plant or tree. In Matthew 13:5-9, our Master Jesus talks about the importance the ground has for seeds. The ground is referred to our heart and spirit.

As a Christian, your faith and spiritual growth depend on the ground in which you are deepening your roots. It’s the ground from which the roots extract the nutrients the plant requires for growth. Similarly, the kind of ground you have created in your heart and spirit for your faith to flourish and prosper matters the most.

For your faith to prosper and produce results and cause spiritual maturity, you must fill yourself with the Word of God. A heart full of the Word is a good ground for faith to grow and bring forth abundant fruits. When you fill yourself with the Word of God, you abide in the love of Christ and constantly grow in the love for Lord Jesus Christ. You are immovable and unshakable. No matter the season or situation, you grow and prosper. You are fruitful and productive in all you do. You are a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither; and whatever you do shall prosper (Ref. Psalm 1:3).

Therefore, keep the ground of your spirit fertile and do not allow any element of this world to mix in your ground, thereby polluting it and making it less fertile. You belong to God, therefore set your heart on things from above (ref. Colossians 3:2)

Confession:
I’m rooted in Christ Jesus. I’m immovable and unshakable. In all I do I prosper in the Name of Jesus. I am a tree planted by the streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither. I’m full of the Word of God. Thus, my faith is active and producing results for the Glory of God. Hallelujah!
