He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
God has put eternity in our hearts. Everything that we imagine gives us a perspective, and that perspective is what initiates creation through the power of the Spirit. It is not a mechanical process, like many think, it’s not some sort of acting but instead it’s a work of God’s Word in our heart.
When we give attention to God and His Word, He gives us direction, and that direction brings the right perspective in our life. If a person fellowships with God with his right mind and clear heart, it’s impossible for that person to remain the same. Such a person will be aflame for the Gospel making impact with the eternity set in his heart.
The problem is that when people don’t change their perspective and just spend hours in prayer with their own personal desires at the center of their heart, they keep praying without any change. James 4:3 says: “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” You must let God and His Word be at the center of your heart, and anything that you want to create will come to pass because eternity has been set in your heart.
Understand and meditate on this power that God has given to you. Let your perspective in life be one with His. There’s no telling how great you and your impact on the world would be if you understand this truth.
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank you for putting eternity in my heart. I meditate on this truth and make my perspective one with you, Lord. I live for God’s glory, bringing many to His marvelous light. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
