But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving. (2 Corinthians 8:7)
Liberality is the quality of giving freely with joy. When the grace of God is at work in a person’s life, that person is happy to give. He doesn’t have to battle in order to give.
When this liberality, which is an out-working of grace starts functioning in your life; it opens a two way channel for you: giving and receiving. When He opens up your capacity to give, He also opens up your capacity to receive. Then, you find yourself living above money, you don’t know what lack is. You are always looking forward for the service because you want to give. It gives you joy to give, and it gives joy to God when He causes you to receive.
Some people give but are not able to receive because they don’t give with their heart, they don’t give cheerfully. What they lack is this grace! And hence, the unction of receiving that this grace produces is absent in their lives. The more you practice this grace, the more of liberality you allow to function in your life, the more of it you get. This out-working of grace makes you flourish and finances are never a problem for you. May you function in liberality more and more as you grow in the knowledge of His Word. Amen!
Confession:
Liberality is at work in me beyond measure. I function in the two way channel of giving and receiving. The grace of God causes me to flourish on every side. I reign in life through grace. Amen!
