Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1)

As you conclude this year with prayer and fasting, and prepare to step into a new one, it is vital that you consciously decide to make greater impact for the Kingdom of God. Fasting seasons are not merely moments of reflection; they are divine opportunities to realign our hearts with God’s purpose and to receive fresh direction for the days ahead.

Many people enter a new year focused primarily on personal goals—career growth, finances, or comfort. While these are not wrong, a higher and more excellent approach for the child of God is to prioritize Kingdom impact. When your goals are aligned with advancing the Gospel and touching lives for Christ, personal success naturally follows. The lesser is always included in the greater. When you seek first the Kingdom, all other things fall into place.

This is why, during these days of prayer and fasting, one of your most important prayer points should be to walk more closely with God. Intimacy with Him sharpens your spiritual vision, fuels your passion for souls, and empowers you to shine with His glory. Impact is not produced by effort alone; it flows from a life that is deeply connected to God and yielded to His Spirit.

Therefore, prepare yourself spiritually. God’s glory has risen upon you, and you are called to shine—not quietly, but boldly. As you draw nearer to Him, He will lead you to places, people, and opportunities where your life will make eternal difference. You are positioned to prosper and to be a blessing, for His glory is working through you.

Confession:
I arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is upon me. As I fast and pray, I walk more closely with God and receive fresh direction from His Spirit. By the Holy Spirit, I impact my world with God’s wisdom, love, and power. I walk in His glory, manifest His righteousness, and bring many to the light of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen.
