This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (Galatians 5:16-17)
The mind of a man is always at war with the things of the spirit even after that person gets born again. That is why it is important to train your mind through God’s truth so that you can walk in the divinity, which you have received in Christ.
You must exercise your mind to develop a liking for spiritual things; by exercising your interests in the things of God. Practise exercising your mind through conscious thought. If, for whatever reason, an unwholesome thought comes to you, say, “No,” and then, switch your mind to the Word of God. Philippians 4:8 says: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Never allow the information that comes to you from the world determine your thinking and mindset, let the Word of God be the only defining force for your mind. Remember what the Bible says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). I desire that, your mind be filled with the thoughts of God, causing you to walk in His perfect will.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the Word, wherein I meditate and train my mind for success. My mind is synchronised with God’s thoughts and perfect will for my life. My mind is inundated with thoughts of prosperity and health, peace and possibilities, in Jesus Name. Amen.
