Then he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones… So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking. (Ezekiel 37:4,7)
To prophesy means to command God’s Word to come to pass as He has commanded. Prophet Ezekiel declared in the valley of dry bones; he said, “I prophesied as He (the Lord) commanded me” (Ezekiel 37:10).When the prophet spoke, there was a shaking. The change did not begin when he saw something—it began when he spoke what God commanded him. The same is true for you. When you open your mouth in faith, prophesying God’s Word into your lives situations, something begins to move behind the scenes.
What in your life looks like dry bones? What situation seems hopeless, lifeless, beyond repair? Dry bones represent places where nothing is working anymore. But the powerful truth is this: dry bones can live.
Do not carry a religious mindset that makes you feel small before God. That mindset tells you everything happening is God’s will and you can do nothing about it. That is not the truth. Lay hold of eternal life. Take hold of what has already been given to you in Christ. The Holy Spirit is for your now and your future.
Study the Word seriously. Don’t depend only on someone else’s prayers. Everything you require for life is in the Word. Speak to your “dry bones.” Speak to your finances. Speak to your health. Speak to your future. And stay at it. What you say in faith will not return empty. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Dear Father, I refuse to accept lifeless situations. I prophesy life, growth, and restoration into every dry area of my life. I lay hold of eternal life and walk in my authority. There is a shaking, and there is a rising, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
