For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21)
No one knows it better than you that, what truly has your heart? Not what you say publicly. Not what sounds spiritual. What actually moves you? Lord Jesus made it simple: your treasure and your heart are always connected. Whatever you value most will quietly control your focus.
Money is not just currency—it is influence. It represents access, options, and power. That’s why it reveals so much about us. It doesn’t create character; it exposes it. It amplifies what is already inside. If your confidence is in money, fear will follow it. If your confidence is in God, peace will follow Him.
The world has turned money into a measuring stick of identity. It constantly whispers, “You are only as secure as your bank account.” But that is not your truth. You are God’s child. Your worth is not rising and falling with numbers. Your security is not tied to the economy.
So guard your heart. Let money be a tool, not a master. Let it serve purpose, not control identity. When your heart stays anchored in God, resources lose their power to intimidate you—and your peace remains steady. So set your heart on the Lord Jesus Christ, He is your master!
Remember, Colossians 3:2 says: “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
Prayer:
Dear Father, my heart belongs to You. I refuse to let money define my identity or control my peace. You are my source, my security, and my confidence. Keep my heart aligned with You always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
