But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18)
God has made us His agents of change, He has made us His Light, wherever we are. No matter what you do, or where you find yourself, whether you do a job or own a business, you are a beautician or a sweeper, you are a teacher or a student; you have been kept there by God to shine.
It is impossible for you, to have understood the Gospel and still remain quiet about it. Those people who don’t proclaim the Gospel, are the ones who haven’t really understood what it means to be a child of God. Be it at your workplace or your study place or your home, it’s your responsibility to let the light of God shine in and through your life. The Bible says, “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light” (Luke 8:16).
Remember that you are the hope for those around you. You are the light, you cannot hide it inside yourself, you must let it shine through you. Wherever you are placed, God has kept you there to shine.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for keeping me where I am as your agent of change. I understand my responsibility and let my light so shine before men, that they may show forth praises of Him who called me to glory and virtue, in Jesus Name. Amen!
