Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God. (Deutronomy 12:28)

When we study the scriptures, we understand the ways of God. We understand, how He wants our lives to be, as His children. Therefore, it is important to act on His command.

In Luke chapter 5 we see the account of Peter. Lord Jesus had just used Peter’s boat to preach, and when He was done, He instructed him to cast his net into the sea for some fish. Peter and his fishermen had toiled fruitlessly all night trying to catch fish; so he said to Jesus, “Sir…we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing…” (Luke 5:5 TLB). But Glory be to God that Peter didn’t stop there; he continued, “…but if you say so, we’ll try again.” Peter acted because the Master said so, and the result was a harvest so great that he needed other boats and fishermen to help him with the multitude of fishes to shore (ref. Luke 5:6-7). That’s what acting on the Word of God does for you. Acting on the Word activates the power of God!

You cannot study the scriptures, meditate, affirm and then chicken out when it comes to boldly acting on His Word. Trust and act on His Word; you’d be amazed at the quality of life you’d live. His Word is absolutely dependable! Let your confidence in life for victory and success, be on the basis of your faith in the Word.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for teaching me the principle of acting on the Word. I’m quick to act on your Word, and have it produce in me, that which it talks about. I’m not lazy, afraid or ashamed to act on the Word, I boldly put the act on the Word, in Jesus precious Name. Amen!
