And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
The Word of God is a person. Your fellowship with the Word is therefore a very important aspect of your life as a Christian. The Bible says: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). Jesus is the Word made flesh.
Now, we need to understand that if Word is not just a written document but a person then our study of the Word will necessarily mean our fellowship with the person of the Word. Thus, when we study the Word, the Word talks to us. It makes us journey through different realms in the Spirit, making us known the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
Consider this fellowship with the Word very important in your life. Your meditation of the Word of God is pivotal in this fellowship. Never take your time of studying the scriptures casually. Don’t speed read the Bible. Give time to the Word, it will speak to you. Study the Word through the Spirit and your life will never remain the same.

Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for the unconditional love you have shown towards me by giving your Word. Your Word is my light and my salvation. As I fellowship with your Word, I’m transformed in the image of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen
