I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy
works. (Psalm 139:14)
The way you see yourself greatly influences the way you live. It affects the decisions
you make, the way you respond to situations, and even the way you relate to the people around you. God did not create you as a mistake or an unfinished work. You are the
perfection of His creation and an expression of His divine excellence. You were created
in His image and likeness, and your life carries His beauty and glory.
When you look at yourself through the wrong lens, you can begin to believe the
negative things your mind tells you about yourself. You may see yourself as angry,
frustrated, inadequate, or unsuccessful. But that is not how God sees you. You are His image and His reflection. Your identity is not defined by your past experiences, your
failures, or your weaknesses. You are the glory of God today because Christ is at work
in you.
God wants you to be happy about yourself and about the life He has given you. Life was
given to us to learn, express, help, enjoy, and live. This does not mean that we will
never face challenges, but it means that our lives should not be defined by constant
frustration and misery. When we continually focus on what is wrong, we can lose sight
of the beauty and purpose God has placed before us.
Today, choose to see yourself through God’s eyes. You are His workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus for good works. There is beauty in your life, purpose in your existence,
and excellence in your spirit. You are not trying to become God’s masterpiece—you
already are His workmanship. Let this truth change the way you think, speak, decide,
and live.
Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for creating me in Your image and making my life an expression
of Your excellence. Thank You that my identity is found in You and not in my past or my
circumstances. I choose to always see myself through Your Word and to enjoy the
beautiful life You have given me. Thank You for Your glory at work in me. In Jesus’
