Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

The Greek word for liberty in our main verse is “eleutheria”, which means freedom. When you received Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, you were set free from all the bondage. This is your present hour reality and it matters that you value it.

This liberty, gives you the privilege and authority to function in the Name of Jesus. It gives you the precious gift of fellowship with the Father. It gives you the grace to ask and receive forgiveness from God if there be any sin in your way. This liberty gives you victory over satan and his cohorts of darkness. This liberty makes you king in this world. However, you must remember to not use this liberty to satisfy your flesh and selfish needs. Apostle Paul said in Galatians 5:13; “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another”.

Many times, Christians under the pressure of their companians, colleagues and peers, start following the ways of this world, without realising that they are playing with their liberty in Christ by doing so. Remember, you have been plucked out of this world by Jesus Christ (ref. John 15:19). He has chosen you, and taken you out of the corruption of this world, to indulge in it again would be foolishness. Let this tragedy never happen with you, live and bask in this liberty which brings you eternal joy, victory, fullness and divine life.

Confession:

I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus, born anew into the liberty of the sons of God! I enjoy my life in Christ, having been blessed richly in all things. I walk in favour, divine health and prosperity every day of my life, in Jesus precious Name. Amen
