And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20)

Lord Jesus used the mustard seed to teach His disciples about faith. The emphasis was not on the physical size of the seed, but on the power of genuine faith directed toward God. Faith does not have to begin with a dramatic appearance to produce meaningful results. What matters is that it is real, active, and placed in the Lord.

Many people underestimate what can happen when they consistently act on the Word of God. They may believe that their contribution is too small, their opportunity too limited, or their strength too inadequate. But God can work through a willing person who trusts Him and takes obedient actions.

Faith must not be separated from God’s will or used as a reason to act carelessly. True faith is rooted in confidence in God, guided by His Word, and expressed through obedience. It enables us to face challenges without allowing fear to dictate our decisions.

Begin with what God has placed before you. Pray faithfully, obey His instructions, develop your gifts, and take the next step. Do not despise the beginning. As you continue walking with the Lord, your faith will grow stronger and produce fruit that reaches beyond what you initially imagined.

Prayer:

Gracious Father, I thank You for the gift of faith. Thank You that I do not have to depend on my own strength or the size of my resources. I receive the grace to begin faithfully, obey You consistently, and allow my faith to grow through daily fellowship with You, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
