Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
Faith enables you to keep moving when circumstances tell you to stop. Faith looks beyond the obstacle and fixes its attention on the One who is greater than the obstacle.
Moses had to stretch out his hand. Joshua had to step into the Jordan. Elijah and Elisha had to act in faith. The disciples had to move forward in the midst of the storm. Again and again, faith was expressed through action. Your faith must not remain only in what you believe or say; let it influence how you respond when adversity comes. Act on the Word of God, remain undaunted, and keep moving forward.
But above everything else, keep your eyes fixed on Lord Jesus. Circumstances change. People change. Opportunities change. Even your feelings can change. Lord Jesus remains the same. When your attention is fixed on Him, you will not become consumed by the waves around you. You will remember that the One who walked on the water is greater than anything you may encounter on your journey.
So, cheer up and keep walking by faith. You may face another sea, another Jordan, another storm, or another mountain, but you do not face it in fear but with boldness. Your faith is anchored in Lord Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Do not retreat because of adversity. Do not magnify the obstacle above God’s Word. Keep your eyes on Lord Jesus, act on His Word, and move forward in faith. Victory belongs to you in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah
Prayer:
Glorious Father, I thank You for the gift of faith and for every truth You have taught me through Your Word. I thank You that my faith is anchored in Lord Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I am grateful that no sea, river, storm, mountain, or adversity is greater than Your power. I continue moving forward in faith and I manifest the fullness of Your purpose in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
