While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Faith teaches us to look beyond what our physical eyes can presently see. The natural world constantly presents circumstances, limitations, and evidence that can make us conclude that a particular thing might be impossible. But faith does not deny what is visible; instead it recognises that what is visible is not the whole picture. There are realities established by God that cannot yet be seen with physical eyes.

If you have to work out your faith, you must learn to look beyond the present circumstance and see what God’s Word has revealed. Your faith needs something definite to hold on to. Instead of allowing your attention to be controlled by what is happening around you, allow the Word of God to shape what you see within you.

This is why your spiritual vision matters. If all you can see is the problem, the problem will dominate your thinking. But when you begin to see the possibility of God’s Word, your response changes. You begin to pray differently, speak differently, and act differently.

Faith looks beyond the temporary and fixes its attention on what God has said. Train yourself to see through the eyes of faith, because what God reveals to your spirit becomes the foundation for what you confidently pursue in the natural realm.

Prayer:

Glorious Father, I thank You for Your Word, which teaches me to look beyond what is temporary and visible. Thank You for giving me the ability to see through the eyes of faith. I continually set my attention on what You have spoken and walk confidently according to it, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
