There are three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13 TLB)
Our main verse shows us three important principles of Christian life: hope, faith and love. Today, we will concentrate on hope and faith.
Often times people are not able to differentiate between hope and faith. Hope and faith are two different things. Many people live in hope and never translate it to faith, thus, they never see their expected outcome. Many others keep just keep hoping and consider it to be their faith, thus never have their miracle come to pass.
Hope is the picture of the thing you desire, which you see afar off; it’s that flicker of light on the horizon on which you fix your gaze. While, faith is taking possession of the picture you see afar off through your confessions and actions according to Word of God. It’s one thing to look at the picture far away; it’s another thing to take possession of it and bring it into the NOW of your life. That’s the basic difference between hope and faith.
Hope says, “It will be mine,” but faith says, “I have it right NOW”. Until your hope translates to faith, you will never have results.
Prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for teaching me the principle of hope and faith. I translate my hope to faith, through the affirmation of the Word of God. I function in prevailing faith today, and make great achievements for the kingdom of God, in Jesus mighty Name. Amen!
