সারা বিশ্বে, মানুষ বিভিন্ন সময়ে এবং বিভিন্ন কারণে উপবাস ও প্রার্থনা করে বিভিন্ন কারণ হেতু । যদিও যে কেউ যে কোনো সময়ে উপবাস করতে পারে, সেখানে বিশেষ সময় থাকে যখন ঈশ্বরের আত্মা আপনাকে তা করতে পরিচালিত করে। এই নির্বাচিত সময়কাল, এই উপবাসের দিনগুলির মতো আমরা এই মুহূর্তে পালন করছি, সর্বদা এটির সাথে একটি অস্বাভাবিক মিলন এবং অনুগ্রহ বহন করে, এটি আগামী বছরের জন্য একটি মন্ত্রিত্ব হিসাবে এবং ব্যক্তি হিসাবে আমাদের প্রস্তুত করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। যাই হোক, আপনার উপবাস এবং প্রার্থনাকে সার্থক এবং পরিপূর্ণ করতে কিছু বিষয় আপনাকে অবশ্যই খেয়াল রাখতে হবে এবং করতে হবে।

দ্বিতীয়ত, একটি স্পষ্ট কেন্দ্রবিন্দু এবং প্রত্যাশা আছে | এটি আপনার প্রার্থনা, অধ্যয়ন এবং ধ্যান সেশনগুলিকে গাইড করতে সহায়তা করবে। তৃতীয়ত, প্রতিদিনের নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে, প্রার্থনার প্রতি যথেষ্ট মনোযোগ দিন, বিশেষ করে টাং এ প্রার্থনা করুন। অধ্যয়ন করার জন্য সময় ব্যয় করুন, এবং বচনের ওপর মনোনিবেশ করুন। যতটা সম্ভব, সব ধরনের বিক্ষিপ্ততা থেকে দূরে থাকুন; প্রভুর প্রতি আপনার ফোকাস এবং স্নেহ স্থির করুন |
একজন ব্যক্তি হিসাবে আপনার কাছে প্রার্থনার সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সুবিধা হল ঈশ্বরের সাথে সুসংগতভাবে চিন্তা করার জন্য আপনার আত্মার কন্ডিশনিং। অন্য কথায়, আপনার আত্মাকে তাঁর ধারণা, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং তাগাদা দেওয়ার একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য আধার হওয়ার জন্য শর্তযুক্ত করা হয়েছে। আপনার জীবনে দুর্ঘটনাজনিত ঘটনার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে জীবন বিস্ময়ের স্রোত হওয়া উচিত নয়; এটি একটি মাস্টার প্ল্যানের অংশ হওয়া উচিত – ঈশ্বরের মহাপরিকল্পনা। অতএব, উপবাস এবং প্রার্থনা করার জন্য সময় বের করে নতুন বছরে ক্রমাগত বিজয়ের জন্য নিজেকে অবস্থান করুন।

As the curtain of this year is being pulled down, just like every year, we, the Ambassadors of Zion, are having a special end of year fasting . So, let me talk to you about fasting and prayer today!

All over the world, people fast and pray at different times and for different reasons. While anyone can fast at any time, there are special times when the Spirit of God leads you to do so. This selected period, like these days of fasting we are observing right now, always carries with it an unusual unction and grace, it is pivotal in preparing us as a ministry, and as individuals, for the coming year. However, there are certain things you must take note of, and also do, to make your fasting and praying worthwhile and fulfilling.

First, understand the purpose of the spiritual exercise. Contrary to what some people think, fasting and prayer is not a way to change or get God to do something; it’s actually a spiritual exercise that benefits you. Its aim is to get your spirit attuned to the Holy Spirit, so you can hear what God is saying, and be guided by Him to know and function in His perfect will for your life. Thus, you’ll know what’s on His mind; that is, what season it is presently in His calendar and how to walk in it.

Secondly, have a clear focus and expectation. This will help guide your prayer, study and meditation sessions. Thirdly, at certain periods of each day, give adequate attention to prayer, especially praying in other tongues. Spend time to study, and meditate on the Word. As much as possible, keep away from all forms of distraction; set your focus and affection on the Lord.

The most vital benefit of prayer to you as a person is the conditioning of your spirit to think in sync with God. In other words, your spirit is conditioned to become a dependable receptacle of His ideas, visions, and promptings. Life shouldn’t be a stream of surprises in terms of accidental occurrences in your life; it should be part of a master plan—God’s master plan. Therefore, position yourself for continual victory in the New Year, by taking out time to fast and pray.

Prayer:
Thank you Father, for the privilege to fast and pray. As I fast I receive divine guidance and wisdom and strength for the coming year. I rightly attune my Spirit to hear your voice, through this fasting and prayer, In Jesus Name. Amen
