And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19)

Christmas reminds us that Jesus did not only come to save us — He came to call us, equip us, and send us as His representatives in this world. A Christian is not someone who merely believes in Jesus; a Christian is someone who carries His life and His assignment. Leadership in the Kingdom of God is not defined by personality, boldness, or human influence. A person may be outspoken and still not be a leader, and someone soft-spoken may be mightily used by God. True leadership begins when a person says, “Lord, what do You want?”

Paul the Apostle thought he was serving God when he persecuted the church, but he lacked revelation. His heart was sincere, but his understanding was wrong — until Jesus appeared to him and opened his eyes. Only then did he discover his true calling and destiny. This shows us that the first mark of a Christian leader is not confidence or knowledge, but surrender to the will of God. A leader is one who follows Jesus first.

Every believer has a unique way to serve God, but not every way is acceptable to God. The right service begins with knowing His will and following His Spirit. That is why studying the Word and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit are non-negotiable. There is no teacher like the Holy Spirit — when He guides you, your life becomes aligned with purpose and impact. Where others run behind positions, a true Christian leader runs behind the voice of God.

This world needs leaders who are not driven by ego, emotions, or comparison — but by the heart of Jesus. Begin every assignment by asking Him, continue by depending on Him, and finish by glorifying Him. Remember, when He has called you, He will equip you. When He has appointed you, He will empower you. And when He has sent you, He will stand with you to the end.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for calling me to follow Jesus and to serve Your purpose in my generation. Thank You for leading me, teaching me, and equipping me through Your Spirit. I refuse to serve by human ideas — I serve by revelation and obedience. My life brings You glory and impacts others with light of the glorious Gospel. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

It’s an honour and a privilege to be the ones bearing the Gospel today. To know that Jesus Christ started it, that the Apostles preached it, and that many were persecuted and even died for it so that we would be the ones preaching it today and taking it all over the world, is such a great honour and privilege.

The fact that we are the ones living it today, and that we are the custodians of this Gospel, should make you leap with joy. Never let it become common to you. It’s such a great blessing and privilege to be living this life.

This is the life and glory that the people of the Old Testament yearned for, and you have received it by grace. Take the privilege of living and preaching this Gospel seriously—don’t keep quiet with it. It’s your responsibility to spread the fragrance of God’s sweet love, which is wrapped in this Gospel, to your world today.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for entrusting me with the glorious Gospel of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ. I take the privilege of living and preaching this Gospel seriously. I shine in my world with this Gospel, such that many come to the marvellous light of Jesus Christ. Amen!

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
(Colossians 3:17)

As simple as the instruction in our main verse appears, it’s very important that we live by it.

The Name of Jesus Christ is the most powerful Name, and everything comes under the authority of this Name. Philippians 2:10 says: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” Our Lord Jesus has the Lordship over everything. When you declare His Name over your day, over your works, over your food, over your movements, over your business, over your night—over everything you do—there’s a difference in your life. You prevail, and you prevail every time and in everything.

However, it’s important that you use this Name with understanding. A name depicts “authority” or “character.” The Greek word for “name” is onoma. So when you command something to happen in the Name of Jesus, you’re actually speaking or acting in the authority or character of Jesus. That’s the power of attorney Christ has given us. The Bible says: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).

The Name of Jesus has been given to you as a gift. Use that Name today with understanding to declare victory over all you do. It will produce results for you.

Praise:
I honour the Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. What a privilege I have to use the holy, majestic, awesome Name of the Lord Jesus—the One who is greater than all, and to whom everything in heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows. Today and always, I adore and uphold the glory of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. With reverence, I declare that You are the living God—holy, gracious, and true. Amen!

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! (1 Corinthians 9:16)

As Christians, we have all been called to be dispensers of God’s love and grace through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s not optional. So your approach towards it should be that of extreme urgency and passion.

The return of our Master is nearing, and this time here on earth is all we have to complete this divine assignment of taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth (ref. Matthew 24:14). There are so many out there in your vicinity who may have never heard about Jesus; therefore, necessity is laid upon you to preach the Gospel. Apostle Paul explained this so well to the Roman Church through his instructive message in Romans 10:13–14: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” You are the preacher your world is waiting for!

To receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be born again is the best thing that could happen to anyone. This is the greatest news on earth, and thus it must be spread to all! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for sustainable progress and development for any nation or people; therefore, it must be preached without any shame or hesitation by you.

The realization that Jesus, the Son of God, died for the salvation of the world and yet some still haven’t heard about Him should motivate you to preach and tell everyone you meet about Jesus. Take motivation from Apostle Paul, who boldly declared: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16 NIV)

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank You for choosing me as a dispenser of Your love through the preaching of the Gospel. I make my life count in the Kingdom of God by reaching out to the lost. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth (Romans 1:16)

It is vital that we take pride in identifying ourselves with our Lord Jesus Christ. As children of God, we carry a truth that the world does not know—the gospel of Christ. The word gospel means “good news,” and it is far more than just a message to be preached; it is the living power of God that brings salvation, transformation, and eternal life.

When Paul declared that he was not ashamed of the gospel, he was expressing unshakable confidence in both the message and the One it represents. To be unashamed means to publicly acknowledge Jesus, to give glory to God in all circumstances, and to openly live in alignment with His Word.

This also includes honoring and valuing the vessels God has placed in your life—your pastors, leaders, and mentors—who labor for your spiritual maturity. Refuse to hide your faith or keep it in the background. Let your life, your words, and your decisions boldly proclaim that you belong to Jesus.

When you embrace the gospel without shame, you position yourself to experience and demonstrate the power of God to those around you.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank You for the gospel of Christ, which is Your power for salvation. I am proud to be identified with my Lord Jesus, and I boldly proclaim His name. I choose to live openly for You, to glorify You in all I do, and to acknowledge those You have placed in my life to help me grow. I will never be ashamed of my faith, for I know it is the truth that sets people free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon
(Nehemiah 4:17).

Nehemiah was the cupbearer of the king of Persia. When he got to know about the condition of Jerusalem, the people of Jerusalem, and the temple, he took it upon himself to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. With the permission and assistance of the king, he journeyed to Jerusalem and aroused the people to join hands with him in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.

Nehemiah was faced with an intense opposition when he decided to build the wall of Jerusalem. The Jews’ enemies were determined to stop the building by slaying the builders. But Nehemiah wasn’t ignorant of their evil plans and intentions.

As he led God’s people to build the wall, they prepared to ward off any form of attack. Each one held a weapon with the other hand, taking every necessary precaution against any onslaught from the enemy. This was written for our learning. Did Nehemiah and the children of Israel succeed in their God-given purpose? Of course yes!

In Nehemiah 12:43, when they had built the walls of Jerusalem and it was time for them to celebrate, the Bible says, “Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.”

As Christians, we have to learn to be concentrated on the purpose God has put before us, despite the numerous challenges, issues and pressures we face in our world today. We must be prepared for any challenge and be determined to complete the purpose God has given us; just like Nehemiah and his people did in Jerusalem.

Prayer:
Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for unconditional grace upon my life. I’m determined to fulfill my purpose on earth unto the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m not moved by any element of this world system, but concentrated on fulfilling my purpose by the the power of Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
