The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

The great significance of Christmas is not found merely in the miracle of Christ’s birth, but in the purpose for which He was born. Jesus Himself declared that He came to give us life — not survival, not existence, but abundant life. This life was not an end in itself; it was the divine means by which humanity would be restored into fellowship with God. Christmas celebrates God stepping into time so that man could step back into oneness with Him.

The life Jesus brought is the very life of God. Through this life, fellowship became possible. Scripture tells us that “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). Fellowship is not occasional interaction; it is shared life, shared nature, and shared intimacy. Before Christ, man stood distant from God, but through Christ, we were brought near — not as strangers, but as participants in divine life.

The Apostle John further declares, “Our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). This is the heart of the Gospel. Jesus did not merely bring a message from God; He brought us into God. He united us with the Father, making us one with Him in spirit. Through Christ, God is no longer someone we seek from afar — He is the One we live with, walk with, and know personally.

As we reflect on this truth, we realize that Christianity is not about striving to reach God, but about living in the fellowship Jesus already secured for us. This is the life we now live — a life of communion, confidence, and closeness with the Father. Let this be our celebration: Christ has brought us home to God.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for sending Lord Jesus to give me abundant life and to bring me into fellowship with You. Thank You that through Christ I am no longer distant, but united with You in love and life. I rejoice in this oneness and live daily conscious of Your presence, Your life, and Your fellowship within me. My heart rests in You, and my life flows from You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9).

To be called unto the fellowship of Jesus Christ means we’ve been brought into union with Him. It means we’ve been brought into His class, and now, we’re in partnership with Him and participating in His interests.

Isn’t it exciting to know that we are brought in union with the son of God, and are called unto fellowship with Him? That’s the highest calling there is! It would have been great if we could have just been his servants, but He chose to bring us in union with Himself. What in the world can be greater than this! Do you realize how special you are!

The understanding and consciousness of your fellowship with Jesus will help you recognize that your Father is the Monarch of the Universe, and you don’t have to struggle to survive. You won’t work to fill your stomach, but to show what you have in you and to change this world with God’s deposit in you. It’s only by being in the consciousness of this fellowship that one can make this world a better place. Be in the consciousness of this fellowship and union all the time.

Prayer:
Dear Father, Thank you for calling me in fellowship with Jesus Christ. I’m conscious of my union and oneness with Him, at all times, and I live a higher life with this consciousness always, in Jesus’s Name. Amen!
