For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
Your approach towards Jesus Christ, our Lord matters. Calling yourself a Christian and being a true Christian are two different things. Meaning, you may confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life and receive salvation but to live your life giving Him complete Lordship over your life is what makes you live the life Christ came for. Look at our main verse and understand the depth of it. Meditate there in before you read this article further.
You must ask yourself if Jesus Christ is your love or is He your need. As a matter of fact we all need Him, including those who are yet not saved and those who don’t know Him yet. But, for us who know Him and are saved by Him and brought into fellowship and union with God through Him, He must be our love.
You are answerable for your approach in life, because He bought you with His sacrifice on the cross. You owe your life to Him. If you love yourself and have your desires rooted in this world, you are missing on the glory of living for Him. There is nothing you won’t have, if you truly learn to love Him alone. Therefore, you must dig deep in your heart and check your approach towards Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, He is coming soon and on that glorious day nothing else will matter, except your approach towards Him.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the Lordship of Jesus Christ over my life. I’m yielded completely to Him. I increase everyday in my love for Him. He is the air I breathe, the song I sing, the move I make, the only one I put my trust upon. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
