So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

One important discipline every believer must develop is the wise management of time. The remarkable thing about time is that everyone receives the same amount—no one has more and no one has less. What makes the difference is how it is used. Scripture encourages us to number our days so that we may apply our hearts to wisdom, showing that time must be handled intentionally.

The devil knows he cannot stop your salvation, because in Christ you are already a citizen of heaven (ref. Philippians 3:20). What he often tries to do instead is steal your time. He distracts believers with activities, thoughts, and habits that appear harmless but slowly consume the hours meant for purpose. When time is wasted, assignments remain unfinished.

But you are not alone in this. God has given you the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you make the best use of your time. As you consult with Him, He shows you what truly matters and exposes where time is being lost. Scripture reminds us to redeem the time because the days require wisdom (ref. Ephesians 5:16).

Stay alert. Refuse distractions. Identify where time is wasted and remove it. Choose wisdom and discipline, and do not allow the devil to fool you.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I declare that I use my time wisely and refuse every distraction of the devil. I align my days with Your purpose and remain alert to what truly matters. I declare that the Holy Spirit guides my decisions, helps me redeem my time, and strengthens me to focus on the assignments You have given me. I reject every form of delay and waste, and I walk in wisdom, discipline, and purpose each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
