Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12)
One of the things you should consider most precious is your salvation. In these last days, you should guard your salvation like never before. The devil is out there deceiving people out of salvation. Hebrews 2:3 says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him?” This should show you that your salvation is the number one priority in your life.
No matter what you achieve in life, it is a waste without salvation. Protect your salvation; do not let the world and its elements steal it. Ensure that you are walking in the light of God, in the fullness of salvation. Jesus said in Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
It does not matter how much money you acquire, how many people speak highly of you, how many people you help or impact, or how many places you go while you live on earth. What matters is your salvation, because without it, all these things mean nothing.
Do not trade your salvation for anything. Stay in Christ, in His Word, and keep expressing His love and righteousness to your world. Remember, you are here to help others receive their salvation as you guard your own.
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank You for the wonderful gift of salvation You have given to me in Christ Jesus. I guard my salvation and refuse to return to the world. Your love compels me to preach the Gospel and reach out in love to the lost, turning them from darkness unto Christ. Amen.
